Our packaging industry for over 30 years, has experienced the development process from scratch, from small to large, now China is already the world's second large packing, the annual industrial output value of more than 1200000000000 yuan, production of packaging products are in the forefront of the world. In the 42 national economic industries, industrial output value of packaging from 80 in the second to last up to fourteenth, become the industryplay a decisive role in the national economy.
From the total perspective, China has become the world's packaging powers, but the variety,quality, new product development ability and economic benefit etc., were there is a big gap between China and developed countries. On behalf of advanced packaging technology in high-end packaging materials, packaging machinery (food and beverage packaging, plastic film, etc.) are developed countries in Europe and the United States, Japan and othermonopoly. The domestic packaging industry has small scale, low-level redundant construction, low industrial concentration; packaging less product variety, low quality, low technical content; product structure is not reasonable, the main high-grade packagingequipment and raw and auxiliary materials is heavily dependent on imports; packagingscience and technology R & D of less investment, innovation ability is insufficient; the low utilization rate of recovery packaging waste.
In view of the key, seriously restricted the development of China's packaging industryproblems, points out that the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee, Xu Guanhua academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences in Packaging Research Institute was established ceremony: "must progress through technology, independent innovation, new product development to upgrade the packaging enterprises competitiveness."
Xu Guanhua said, through the course of the packaging industry in China is not difficult to find,the state-owned enterprises through technological transformation, technology introduction,new product development, design and manufacturing, obtain economic benefits, namely thetechnology innovation. But there are a lot of packaging enterprises have not yet found theroad of innovation, even if is the realization of the technological innovation of enterprises, but also lack the ability to continuous innovation, once the technology innovation imitated by competitors, and re in trouble. Therefore, to form the ability of technical innovation, rapidly improve the technological innovation mechanism, is the key to promote the development of China's packaging industry in future decades even more long-term historical period.
